New Online Session

Its autumn and we are delighted to bring to you the first of our new online lecture series. This November, we welcome Eva Marunova to deliver an online lecture investigating asymmetry within your horse. Eva is completing a PhD at the Royal Veterinary College researching use of equine gait analysis in the clinical setting and is at the cutting edge of research and investigations. She also holds Postgraduate qualifications specialising in Applied Exercise Physiology, Rider Performance, Equine Behaviour and Welfare, and Therapy and Rehabilitation of the Equine Athlete. She has also equine lecturing experience delivering FE and HE students.

As well as her academic experience and qualifications Eva is a hands-on equitation professional and holds a BHS Assistant Instructor/APC qualification and has extensive dressage experience teaching in Italy and is a Classical Riding Club Trainer.

She runs her equestrian training company Empowered Equitation and is available for training, lessons and support

The aim of this online taught session will help the horse owners to understand normal movement patterns of horses and how movement symmetry of your horse can be impacted by different factors (for example: tack, riding style, movement on circles, pain).

In this interactive session you will learn how to identify asymmetrical movement patterns in horses, where these asymmetries can stem from and what is the magnitude of asymmetries we can encounter in a ridden horse population.

This session is a must for all horse riders and trainers. How many times have you felt a horse is “not quite right”? This session will allow you to gain the knowledge to start to consider the horse with new eyes and act to help prevent potential movement issues.

We will be delivering this session via Zoom. We have introduced a new element to achieve a CPD Certificate. To gain your CPD certificate you will complete a short confirmation of learning assessment at the end of the session (we have introduced this to ensure that criteria for our organisations learning objectives are met for us to present CPD- we want to ensure that your are learning with us- not watching TV at the same time!)

Look forward to seeing you all on 24th November!
